Yesssssssss! Is what some of you are probably saying cause chances are you've heard a lot about this movie! I'm not gonna say anymore...
I enjoyed this movie for many reasons, the creatively designed comic style of the movie is one thing that made it clearly different in the visual aspect. The story is good because it is something that occurred in history...some people complain about this movie having no story line...when in fact the story is very well told from the view of a comic book, as this is the true inspiration for the movie

"Based on the epic graphic novel by Frank Miller, '300' is a ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Facing insurmountable odds, their valor and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite against their Persian enemy, drawing a line in the sand for democracy. The film brings Miller's (Sin City) acclaimed graphic novel to life by combining live action with virtual backgrounds that capture his distinct vision of this ancient historic tale."

It looks amazing and comic-bookish because it was all done against a green screen. See it in IMAX unless you're one of those people (like me) who get terrible headaches in IMAX movies. I know, I know. If I were tough like a Spartan that wouldn't happen to me.

"A raging hero mowing down multitudes with sword, shield and spear suddenly seems plausible."

"… about as violent as ''Apocalypto'' and twice as stupid."

""… something to see, but unless you love violence as much as a Spartan, Quentin Tarantino or a video-game-playing teenage boy, you will not be endlessly fascinated."
